not absorbent
I purchased these after 20 years of not having new towels. I wanted something really soft, but also absorbent. They are soft, but not at all absorbent. After 6 washes, they are still "linting" all over us, & just smearing the water around. Everyone in the house is complaining about them, and we definitely don't want to put lotion on after using them, cuz that just makes it more obvious that we are covered in brown fuzz. I would recommend buying something else.

Great Towels
I bought these towels a couple of months ago for my newly remodeled bathroom. I found these towels to be rich in color, heavy (in a good way), good-sized, fluffy and quite absorbent. I thoroughly researched towels not only from Amazon but from other companies online to ensure that I got the best towels for the money. I also took the time to read lots of reviews to see the pros and cons of the various towels. After all that, I decided to purchase these towels. I have not been disappointed.
I noticed that in some of the reviews for these towels, there were complaints regarding the absorbency. In reading the aforementioned reviews from various companies' websites, I learned a trick to significantly improve the absorbency of ANY towel. Do NOT (in bold!) use any form of softener. Just wash the towels and throw them in the dryer with nothing else. They dry fluffy and absorb all the water off your body beautifully.
The only reason I gave these towels four stars...
nice set of towels
The color is true to the pic; very nice. They feel nice, but I've had some that are more absorbent (thus 4, not 5 stars);Shipping was very prompt.
