Very Thin but Possibly Absorbent
These towels were my first experience with bamboo fabric, and I was surprised at how thin and smooth they are. They're almost like a thick jersey knit. Oddly, my towels also seem to have several snags, making them less attractive than they might otherwise be. It's difficult to tell how absorbent these towels are. They seem to spread water around on the skin, but perhaps this drying method is effective. Their main beauty lies in their thinness; a stack of four bamboo bath towels is about as thin as one regular bath towel. Their other appeal lies in the fact that bamboo is more environmentally beneficial than cotton. When you use these towels, you can feel good about taking up little space and leaving a small carbon footprint, although you might not necessarily feel any drier. The grey is more attractive than the coffee, which has sort of odd olive-colored banding.

Thin and yes they snag but SUPER soft and absorbent
We like these towels a lot. They are very soft and more absorbent than any other towels we have owned, plus they dry quickly which is important to us because our bathroom is in the basement with a lot of moisture. They do snag a little easily which is too bad, but other than that are very attractive.
Bamboo sticking it to mildew
Bamboo is the way to go. It is renewable and the fibers prevent mildew from growing. Previously, I had dropped a large sum of money on 100% cotton towels from Macy's. After a few drying sessions proceeding shower time the towels would start to smell which meant more washing. These towels will not only save you money (less water use), they are more compact (more space for other things) and able to dry a larger percentage of skin compared to full cotton. Bamboo rocks.

Simply trim these to the same level as the rest of the loops with sharp scissors to prevent your towel from being damaged. This is a normal occurrence that is inherent to the bamboo derived fibers.
