Pretty thin, probably not a good valueThese are made in Canada, as I discovered, which is the good part.
The downside is that they're very thin -- hold one up to the light and you can see right through it! The terry cloth is pretty basic and thin. They're good enough for an occasional drying of hands in the kitchen, but plush these are not. I'm glad they were made in Canada rather than who knows where, but now that I have them, it seems like a lot of money for what you get. Seems like maybe they're worth a couple of bucks each at the most.
Don't know why it's so hard to find an inexpensive, good quality, thick, plain ol' hand towel for drying the hands in the bathroom or kitchen...
I use them for workouts- good for that purposeI needed a set of white hand towels which would wipe up sweat from my brow quickly (nothing worse than a non-absorbent towel, and they do exist, unfortunately), aid me w/ a few stretches during my exercise routine (so they needed to be strong enough, and not too short), and wash/dry/fold/stack easily & quickly. These fit the bill just fine. They're not at all the finest towels I've ever felt, but I totally knew that going in. The price point is perfect for what you get. I got enough towels that I can change them daily (I'm a fiend about hygiene), and at a minimum cost to me. I don't have to hold these towels sacred, but they're pretty carefree to take care of. I wash them by themselves, in a mesh bag, on the delicate cycle, to avoid getting getting lint on them from any other items. I then "free them" from their wash bag for complete drying & no wrinkling, drying them on low for about 50 minutes. I fold them up immediately out of the dryer, and keep them on a shelf underneath my DVD...
Good ProductThese towels are very adequate for ordinary use. They are not luxurious, but thick and soft, regardless. They wash very well, did not become misshapen, or shrink, and did not loose an excess of lint. They are quite adequate for daily use and I recommend them as good quality for the price.
